Giving YOU up ~

I feel freedom ~ a bell
that rings within me

no more waiting for 
YOU to come home
only to leave again
no more waiting for
phone calls
that never come.

Ahhh creative energy is no longer wasted
in unframed paintings
and letters never mailed.

and then

I slept peacefully the night through
my home now is my sanctuary.

everyday I have some more happiness.
some more life.

and all it took was giving YOU up.

and that took quite a bit.
